Buddhacello

Limoncello, loved for its fresh lemon flavor! This Italian liqueur is traditionally made with lemons, but we make it a little bit different. As the main ingredient we use Buddha hands, a special looking fruit with a delicious sweet and lemony taste. An ice-cold treat!

Buddhacello

Recipe

Serves

1 bottle

Time

4-6 weeks

Ingredients

2 Buddha hands

1 liter of vodka

300 ml sugar syrup

Preparation

Rinse the Buddha hands under the tap and wash them thoroughly.

Cut the Buddha hands into pieces and place them in a clean glass jar with a lid. Pour the vodka over the chopped buddha hand so that everything is completely covered with the vodka. Close the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for about 2 weeks. If you want a stronger taste, soak the pieces in the vodka for longer.

Then add the sugar syrup and stir everything together. Use a sieve to remove the pieces. Close the jar and put it away again for about 2-4 weeks in a cool, dark place.

The final step is to pour the drink through a sieve to remove any remaining particles. The Buddhacello is now ready! Pour into a clean glass bottle, close tightly and store it in the freezer. Serve the Buddhacello when it is ice and ice cold.
