Eddo

Eddo is the root of a tropical plant from the taro family. It has a firm skin and looks like a hairy potato. The taste of the eddo is similar to a potato and is often described as nutty. Eddo can’t be eaten raw because its slightly poisonous. But the taste is absolutely worth cooking, baking, frying or steaming first.
