Saborujak Buah

“Rujak” means “to mix” and “buah” means “fruit” in Indonesian. Our Saborujak Buah is a creative take on the classic fruit salad, featuring the traditional spicy-sweet dressing made with tamarind, palm sugar, and chili, delivering a perfect balance of bold, refreshing flavors.

Saborujak Buah - Indonesian fruit salad

Ingredients

100g roasted peanuts

100g palm sugar

2 tbsp sambal

1 red chili pepper

4 calamansi (halved)

salt

7 mangosteen (peeled)

10 rambutan (peeled and deseeded)

2 salak (peeled, deseeded and cut into cubes)

1/2 cucumber (cut into cubes)

Preparation

Mix the roasted peanuts, palm sugar, sambal, red chili pepper, the juice of 2 calamansi and a pinch of salt with a blender until a sauce is formed.

Mix the mangosteen, rambutan, salak and cucumber together.

Pour the sauce and decorate with the 2 remaining calamansi.
