Social Responsibility
— Commitment
Savor the flavor, support the source.
Saborichi® is more than a brand; it’s a commitment. We believe in the power of positive change. Beyond delivering exotic fruits and vegetables to your table, we’re sowing seeds of change in the communities where our produce takes root.
Our longlasting relationships with our suppliers are built on a foundation of fairness and respect.
Above all, we seek out suppliers who share our values of integrity, sustainability, and social responsibility. Through our partnerships with local growers and suppliers, we strive to create opportunities for economic growth, social development, and enhanced quality of life.
The balance between climate goals and community interests
As a vegetable and fruit importer, we face a significant challenge: how can we maximize our contribution to the fight against climate change without harming the economic interests of communities in developing countries? In an era where sustainability is increasingly high on the agenda, finding the right balance is essential.
Our fresh products often travel in the cargo holds of commercial passenger aircraft, aiming to ensure freshness and quality. It is important to note that reducing the import per aircraft of these products does not automatically mean fewer flights. These flights are mainly driven by passenger numbers, and reducing import per aircraft would thus have only a limited impact on the number of flights.

— Balance
“Therefore, we believe that it is crucial to find a balance between climate goals and community interests.”
According to the latest research by Fairmiles, it is estimated that around 18 million people in developing countries benefit from fresh products exported to the European market via these flights. Export creates employment and income for farmers and producers, enabling them to invest in their communities, such as building schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. Moreover, it stimulates economic growth and diversification, allowing these countries to develop and combat poverty.
With increasing pressure on organizations to take action in the fight against climate change, there is a growing risk that Net Zero strategies, which aim to reduce emissions by limiting food imports or air freight, will ultimately have a negative impact on communities in economically less developed countries.
Therefore, we believe that it is crucial to find a balance between climate goals and community interests. Instead of abruptly stopping import by air freight, we advocate for a gradual transition to more sustainable practices, taking into account the needs of both the environment and communities.
— Involved
Building relationships
We stand by our suppliers through the highs and the lows, offering assistance, guidance, and encouragement whenever it’s needed. As we look to the future, we’re excited to continue growing and evolving alongside our suppliers. Our suppliers aren’t just our business partners – they’re our friends.

— Supporting communities
Giving back to the communities that make our products possible.
We believe in giving back to the communities that make our products possible. Every year, we select meaningful charitable projects in different countries where our fruits and vegetables are grown. These projects are carefully chosen to support the local people that provide the richness and diversity of the produce we offer. We support small, local initiatives that directly impact the areas where our products originate.
